Amethyst from the Chibuku mining area is also called Shangaan Amethyst, after the Shangaan tribal people in nearby village. These Amethyst crystals are collected by the local Shangaan people. They work together as a community, collecting the Amethyst with small hand tools, the crystals help support their village. The Shangaan people are proud to share their Amethyst crystals with the rest of the world.
