Crystallized Fossil Wood

225 Million years old from the Chinle formation. This triassic permineralized fossil wood is a rare black petrified wood, carbonized by volcanic activity and encrusted with glittering smoky quartz crystals. The fossil wood is collected by our friends here in Arizona and we clean the wood.
