Australian Zebra Rock is considered one of the rarest rocks in the world, a unique siltstone with striking reddish-brown banded and spotted patterns. It's an ancient natural stone, found only one place in the world, in a remote region of North-Western Australia. This piece of rough Zebra Rock resembles an ancient pottery shard, its been polished smooth on the face of the stone to expose its eye-catching stripes. Australian Zebra Rock formed during the late Precambrian period, dated at over 600 million years old.
