Calcite After Fluorite Pseudomorph on Galena, 254g | Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico

Rare Calcite After Fluorite Pseudomorph on Galena, with sparkling Quartz crystals. This Pseudomorph began its life as cubic Fluorite crystals, the Fluorite was eventually replaced with Calcite and then a new generation of baby Quartz crystals started growing on its surface. It likely had more baby Quartz crystals originally but they appear to be missing from the top left side, they may have come off during mining process. The specimen has well-preserved Fluorite crystals, with a muted buttery French vanilla color and frosted luster. This piece is from the famous Naica mine in Mexico, an old collection piece, originally purchased in the 1990s.
