Splash-Form Moldavite, 1.20g | Chlum, Czech Republic
Stunning splash-form Moldavite specimen, translucent luminous moss green with excellent shape and pitted texture, collected in Chlum, Czech Republic. Moldavite is an ancient impact glass that formed 14.5 million years ago, when a meteorite impacted Earth. The impact created a 15 mile wide crater, the Ries Crater in Germany and blasted this meteorite impact glass 200-400 kilometers away, into Czech Republic. Moldavites are a fragile natural glass and typically have small nicks or micro nicks, we do our best to describe the condition of each piece. We hand-select all of our Moldavite in person, for the best quality, direct from our Czech suppliers.
