Ice Cream Igloo Fluorite, Blanchard Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, 120g
Ice Cream Igloo Fluorite, Blanchard Mine, Bingham, New Mexico, 120g
Dreamy Fluorite with a pastel glow from the 'ice cream igloo' pocket, a spectacular new Fluorite pocket discovered in the legendary Blanchard mine area, Bingham, New Mexico. This Ice cream igloo Fluorite has a refreshing pastel mint color and a layer of grape-purple on the surface that highlights the detailed stepped pattern of the cubic crystal faces. The Ice Cream Igloo pocket was found in 2023 by two young men, Bradley and Mike of 'Two Guys One Hole'. Bradley and Mike named the pocket for its igloo shape, described as a small tunnel that opened up into a rounded room. Inside, the "igloo" revealed Fluorite crystals that looked like scoops of ice cream, covering the walls of the pocket. They spent a few months collecting the Fluorite, including some massive specimens that are now on display in Museums. After collecting was complete, the decision was made to collapse the pocket entrance for safety reasons. Includes acrylic display stand and mineral specimen ID card.
