Fluorite, 59g | Xianghualing Mine, Hunan Province, China

Pastel aqua Fluorite with a hint of lavender color-zoning around the corners and edges. This old collection piece has a dreamy glow and with the aqua blue-green colors, it can almost make one feel they're looking underwater. Gazing into this Fluorite crystal, one can see a fascinating inner world, with inclusions, including a tiny baby Fluorite crystal at the very bottom center, inside the main crystal. The bottom and backside of the crystal shows it's contact point, the rough sides and cleavage planes of the crystal where it was attached to the host rock. This Fluorite displays best when back-lit or with side lighting. This piece is from the Xianghualing mine, Hunan Province, China. The locality is famous for fabulous Fluorites. We acquired this piece from an old collection, originally collected in the 90s.
